Traditionally slabs came in varying thicknesses, sometimes varying from 15 to 35mm! This made laying paving a time consuming task, as it takes a long time to adjust the bed to ensure the finished surface is flat.
All Green Garden Paving slabs, however, are calibrated to a uniform thickness allowing for a much quicker and cost effective installation process. All of our flagstones have their back face sawn to ensure the thickness is constant. Our sandstone paving slabs are calibrated to 25mm, whilst our travertine to 32mm and our limestone to 22mm (+/- 2mm). This removes the need to adjust the bed thickness and allows flagstones to be laid using the screed bedding method which is much quicker and will save you a significant amount of money in fixing costs and time.
